Crazy faces

I posted some of my favorite photos of Sloane on Facebook yesterday and realized when I was done that my facebook friends will think that she is permanently cross eyed since she looks pretty goofy in at least half of them. I can't help it...the cross eyed photos are just too funny. Besides, for every sweet photo like this

One happy camper

Sloane is smiling now. Not the "I have gas", "I just filled my diaper" or active sleep smiles. Real smiles. The "I see you", "I know you", "I like you" smiles. Pretty dang cool.

I finally remembered to grab the camera and catch a couple today...

Jammy time

With such warm weather recently Sloane has been getting a lot of use out of her fun summer dresses. Unfortunately, that means some of the cute, warmer clothes have been stuck in the dresser. We took advantage of a cold morning recently to pull out these darling jammies for a nap before the girl outgrows them.

Nothing says summer like mini golf and beer

In an effort to prove that parenthood doesn't have to kill your social life, John and I have once again signed on to join the Harding's, the Northcott's and Andrea for Drinks on the Links. We will definitely miss the Johnson's who have been on our team for the past few years but are moving in a few weeks (boo!). Brian and Nicki hosted a pre-golf bbq on their fabulous deck this week.

I had to sit out the first round, but Pat and Deb will be babysitting next week so I better dust off my putter. Go Team Angry Pirates!

An evening with Lucy and Owen

It's always fun when Adam, Melissa, and the kids come over to play and this night was no exception.

John put each of the kids in "jail" by taking their photos from the other side of our patio chairs. Lucy loved it, Owen wasn't so sure.

Owen LOVED his push pop and proved why toddlers should be stripped of all clothing when given ice cream.

Dinner with the Northcott's

We had a fun bbq with Nicki, Brian and Stella to try out some of the fish that John brought home. As always, it was a fabulous evening with these two.

If you teach a man to fish...

...he'll come home with 100 lbs of salmon! The men returned from their Alaskan adventure with a huge haul of king salmon, silver salmon, and halibut. We'll be enjoying some delicious salmon for many months to come (our family and friends will too) and would love any good salmon recipes people have to share. The guys came back with decent tans and in need of a nap after fishing from dawn until dusk every day. It was a wonderful trip and, for the first time ever, the young guys beat the old guys! Nice job fellas!

While the men were away...

...the girls played! Sloane and I had a fun weekend though we missed John. A lot. We spent lots of time with Mimi, hit the Wedgwood art fair (though calling it that is a stretch), took naps

ran errands, watched movies, and went for walks (it was a cold morning...the perfect time to bundle my girl in her bunny suit).july 203

Despite walks and playing in the back yard, Cooper thought we were really boring. She kept picking items out of her toybox and just laying next to them on her bed. A not so subtle hint that she didn't think she was getting enough attention.

The man is now blessed (he might use a different word) with two geminis in his house. Four personalities are better than two! You are one lucky guy.

Sloane and I had a fun visit with Jen and Taylor. The girls are three and half weeks apart and we can't wait for them to be friends.

Gone fishin'

Before the guys headed up to Alaska for their fishing adventure, we gathered for brunch at my folks house.

Uncle Ted & Aunt Alice gave Sloane her first fishing hat.
