We had an awesome time traveling to Nebraska to visit family and watch the Huskies take on the Huskers. I think John had to see a Nebraska home game to truly understand my crazy Nebraska family. It was a wonderful experience - there isn't any better place to be the opposing team.
Sloane and I headed out with Mimi & Bobba on Wednesday. She was awesome on the flight.
We got in that evening, met up with Uncle JJ, picked up our awesome minivan and headed to dinner with my aunt Micki and uncle Joe to celebrate Mick's birthday. The next morning we drove into Lincoln to hit the bookstore, walk around for a bit, meet up with my cousins, and had lunch at my mom's all-time favorite restaurant, Valentinos.
Sloane was a trooper at the bookstore.
And loved the pom poms

After lunch we headed over to Teddy's fraternity to check out his very clean room. Sloane's first time in a frat. It better be a while until she's back in one. Brought back lots of college memories. Turns out frats smell the same wherever you go.

Busy day for our girl
On Friday morning we got to go see Kay - wonderful, wonderful Kay.
And tooled around Omaha with the fam. Allison, Sloane and Micki
Then we relaxed and waited for John to get in. He walked off the plane wearing purple and his game face.
Game day. The girl was ready to celebrate some touchdowns.
She too had her game face on.
The purple and the red.
We dropped Sloane off with my aunt's neighbor (so much easier without a toddler at the game) and headed back to Lincoln. Jared and his buddy Darren had headed over early to hit up Teddy's tailgate.
We all met up at Barry's bar.
Easy fellas.
Then we headed for some tailgating.
Watching the band go by.
Miss Allison and her press pass.
Our little slice of purple in a sea of red
The Nebraska fans let balloons go after their first touchdown. Such a cool site.
Go Huskies!
Such a fun trip but it was so nice to get home and see Coop. Unfortunately, the flight home was not so easy with this little she-devil. I think she was still cranky over the loss.
