Christmas Day

After breakfast we packed up and headed to my parents for another fun filled day.  Never a dull moment with this chica.  She was pretty pleased with her new pink guitar.

Captain Awesome and a shell-shocked Miles.

Mayson was a great helper with every gift.
Max wanted to make sure that Sloane was well fed.  He so badly wanted to hang out with her all day long.  Kept grabbing her hand to pull her along with him. "Come on, Sloane."

But Miss S just wanted to tickle and make googely eyes at Miles.

Love this girl and her CRAZY curls

The perfect gift from Mimi - a helmet for Sloane

Raincoats from the Pane's

Pat cooked 20 lbs of prime rib (2 of these bad boys) for 7 of us.  We love leftovers.

Another Christmas over (sniff, sniff), but oh what fun we had.

Christmas morning

Ready to see what this whole Christmas thing is all about.  Nice bed head.

What's this I see?  A new kitchen from Santa!

I think she likes it!

Time to check out the stockings.  Sloane loved her cars and games.  She also wanted to be sure that Cooper got the treats out of her stocking.  We kept her away from the fifth of gin in dad's stocking.  He must have been a good boy.

On to presents.  After the first couple of gifts were opened, John asked me, very politely, if we were going to take 30 photos of each present being opened.  This gal's life is pretty well documented.

Cooper got Sloane a puppy pillow pet for Christmas and Sloane insisted on thanking her with a kiss.  We generally frown upon mouth to snout contact in this house, but I let it slide this time.  Sloane was just trying to spread the Christmas cheer.

Finally time for breakfast - dutch baby's by John!  They were delicious.

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with the Poort's.  Ate delicious mini-pizzas, received too many presents, enjoyed great company, and took a lot of photos.

Sloane spent a good part of her night on the rocking chair.

And Bailey was more than happy to help entertain her.

For some reason the magnifying glass was quite entertaining to the kids and I.

Happy cousins in their pj's

First up, grandkid presents

Sloane tried to sit or stand on any present she could.

After all the kid presents had been unwrapped (and there were a lot of them) the older kids headed to watch a movie and Sloane decided kick it with us for the rest of the festivities.  She even helped Auntie Joia try out her new bag.

Time to go home
