Catching Up

We've been having too much fun playing outside and haven't taken a ton of photos the past couple of weeks...here's a quick recap.

Sloane took her first dip in the pool...






Cole and Bob came over for a Sunday swim and bbq.

Sloane eyed my first homemade cheesecake, but didn't get a bite. It was delicious!


The Knights, the Kimblers and Brian came over for some salmon and baby holding.

The happiest place on earth

Forget Disneyland. For this gal, it's Costco. I've long called Costco my happy place. So many deals. So many items you never imaged you would need but now suddenly can't live without. I thought last Saturday was just another trip to Costco until we stumbled upon a giant display of Menage a Trois - the wine of choice in this household - and my happy place became infinitely happier. Thank you, Costco. Thank you.

Girlfriends

The girls came over for happy hour last week and I got sentimental going through the photos. Right near the top of that list of the things I wish for Sloane is a group of friends like this:

Each photo from that night made me thankful for something different that these gals bring into my life. These are the type of friends that move happy hours to homes because hanging out with the kiddos is way more fun than checking out the newest restaurant. These are the type of friends who run right in to snuggle the new baby then quickly move on to give the pup some attention because they know that's important too.


These are the friends you've known since grade school.

The Seattle fivesome will soon be a foursome as Jen and her family make the big move to Montana. It makes me sad. We've gotten so comfortable in this friendship that I almost forgot that big changes like this can be made.

8 weeks

Sloane had her 8 week appt on Tuesday and the girl is perfect! She handled her three shots like a champ (much better than her mom did). That night we also made the big move from the cradle in our room to her crib. She's a noisy sleeper and the move has resulted in better sleep for all three of us. While I was up until 1 am glued to the video monitor that first night, she rocked it with 7 hours of straight sleep. Now if we could just get that action every night!

Party Time

We had a fun Sunday with John's extended family to celebrate his cousin's engagement. Another party...another party dress for Sloane. Here are a few pics from the day.
