Oh, Ms. Anderson Cooper. I know it's partly our fault. You are home alone all day since John can't take you to work right now, the garbage is out in the open instead of in the cabinet under the sink, and our makeshift kitchen on the dining room table is just too tempting. It's hard to be mad at you when you look up with those sweet eyes and giant ears.

You have to look past our beautiful baby to notice sneaky Cooper....

While down at the market last weekend I ran into a photographer friend of mine who, true to his nature, quickly pulled out his iphone to snap some photos of Miss S.

Just when we're all stocked up on pacifiers, Sloane goes and discovers her thumb. The world's easiest baby just got even less fussy now that she can instantly soothe herself.





We're working on curling the other fingers into a fist so she doesn't take her eye out. Sometimes it looks a little dangerous...but pretty darn cute too.

Hanging with the girls

While John was playing in a golf tournament on Saturday, Sloane and I had some girl time hanging out with Nicole and Andrea. We grabbed coffee, walked from Pike Place over the sculpture park, checked out the new exhibits, and walked along the waterfront. It was the perfect not too hot, not too cold, slightly overcast fall day.

When we'd absorbed enough culture for one day we headed back to the market for lunch and stumbled upon the new Tom Douglas restaurant, Snack Bar. The food was delicious and the bloody mary's were incredible. Definitely going back.



After a quick tour of the market we headed home to don our Husky gear...Go Dawgs!

Sloane is "talking"...and by "talking" I mean making tons of crazy noises trying to imitate her parents in the hopes that words might be formed. She loves to have "conversations"...here's a glimpse into our evenings these days.

I never thought it could be so fun to have no idea what someone is saying.  Love this girl.
