We are so excited that Taylor is here and Sloane can't wait to meet her new buddy. Congratulations to Jenny, Nick and big sister Maddy! She is beautiful!

Busy, busy

While most of Sloane's days are filled with eating, sleeping, and pooping, we have managed to to fit some fun activities into the past couple of weeks.

The man, the myth, the legend

John shaved his beloved beard last week to participate in the mustache growing contest with my brothers for their upcoming fishing trip in Alaska. I'm pretty sure he's got the trophy in the bag (sorry Matt & Jared, but the Morell men just aren't known for their facial hair). It took me a few days to get used to seeing John clean shaven. I'm not sure how he felt about me giggling every time I looked at him for the first 48 hours, but his new look totally threw me. Besides our wedding he hasn't been sans facial hair for a few years and it takes me back to the giddiness of when we were first dating. I know the beard will be back before I know it, so I'm enjoying my new man, even if there is some scratching from the stubble that comes with it.

He had some fun and shaved in phases to test out some new looks..hopefully none of these become permanent.

We got the rest of the photos back from our shoot with Erin and they are just as fabulous as the first batch. I can't decide which one is my favorite. It's amazing to see how much she has grown in the three weeks since then.

Buddies...

Okay, maybe not quite yet, but they will be. While she still isn't sure yet what's going on, Cooper is definitely interested in Sloane. She constantly wants to sniff her, sometimes joins in with some howls of her own when Sloane cries, and just generally wants to be around the babe.
