Christmas Eve

Despite the fact that all three of us were sick, we had a wonderful Christmas. We spent most of the week before in bed or on the couch. Our immune systems certainly weren't prepared for having a little germ factory in the house this year :) Luckily, we recovered enough to be able to participate in and truly enjoy my most favorite time of year. We headed over to Sandy and Leo's to enjoy sliders, soup, and lots of cookies on Christmas Eve.

The best part was when Santa made an appearance at the end of the night. I was standing at the bottom of the stairs when Lola walked down and spotted him. Her jaw drop and I hear her whisper, "Santa is here," with such wonder in her voice. It was one of the sweetest things I've ever heard. A minute later she looked at me, smiled, and said, "Santa sounds just like Uncle Ben." :)
