Sunday Funday

What better way to celebrate John's actual birthday than with a day full of family. We started the morning at my parent's to watch the game (let's not talk about it) and enjoy a delicious brunch to celebrate John and Nikka (her bday was on the 6th).

Then we moved on the Sandy and Leo's and our 3rd Poort Family Cookoff. The theme this time was "small bites" a much more broad category than previous competitions. One of the proposed benefits of small bites is that we wouldn't all go home feeling like we swallowed a whale. With food this good? Yeah right. Pretty sure we all waddled home. All of the entries were pretty incredible. And the big winners? Amy & Ben with their crispy pork bellies. Nice work!
